Trivial Pursuit – Pep Band Trivia

Test your VPB knowledge with this new feature of the e-CSRU, a trivia question. The person who comes up with the correct answer first will have their names published as the winner in the next edition of the e-CSRU, upon which glory and bragging rights will rain down upon them.

This edition’s trivia question is: What is the farthest the Pep Band has ever traveled by bus or car?

Please email your answers to caitlin.vogus@orangevest.org and look for the winners in the next e-CSRU! In addition, why not post your fond memories of bus trips in the FVPB forums.

i think it's rather indicative of our bus trips that i have nearly no memory of this, or most things that are purported to have happened at any time on Bus 3. i have hazy recollections of people being reverse-fleshpiled, and i do remember the time the A/C broke on the way back from UNC because we were all entirely too sober.

two more words: naked bus!

I don't know about total distance, but the Sugar Bowl trip where the bus broke down in Gatlinburg felt like the longest trip in the history of motorized travel...

The correct answer is: Ft. Lauderdale .

According to Google Maps, Ft. Lauderdale is 995 miles from Charlottesville.

The Pep Band traveled to Ft. Lauderdale for the MPC Computer bowl in 1999, when the Cavaliers took on University of Illinois. After performing at the U.Va.- Virginia Tech basketball game in Roanoke, the band jumped on the bus to travel directly to Ft. Lauderdale the next day, a 23 hour trip.
