The Pep Band has an official, bona fide Hollywood movie credit to its name.
In the film "Bring It On," starring Kirsten Dunst, the producers used a clip from the Pep Band's rendition of the Cav Song on its late 90s CD titled "Unzipped." You can hear the Pep Band's performance of the Cav Song about mid-way through the movie in a scene that takes place at a high school football game. In a scene that focuses on the cheerleaders, the producers used the clip to provide the "background" sound of the high school's band playing a fight song in the stands. The clip is clearly the Pep Band's version of the Cav Song from the Unzipped CD.
To make it official, the Pep Band recieved a musical credit and is listed at Internet Movie Data Base (IMDB): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0204946/soundtrack (15th song down)
The Pep Band also has its own page on the New York Times webiste: http://movies.nytimes.com/person/550869/The-Virginia-Pep-Band
Now if only those annoying paparazzi would stop harassing the Pep Band . . .

We had a fun time going to see the movie in a big group, then running into the UVa cheerleaders who were also there as a group (complete with warmups on). I'm in a movie - woo! _________________ Amy Forestell
